I’m grateful to deeply honor my Hawaiian heritage and our family lineage. Kahiau, “selfless generosity,” is how we lived growing up, and it guides how I ensure every guest is taken care of. Four decades immersed in Hawaii’s hospitality culture and thousands of wonderful guests later, operating Kauai Style Vacations, the business I built myself, is the conscious extension of kokua, being of gracious service to all guests.

Local knowledge from a lifetime on the island

I’ve worked for the island’s adventure tour businesses and snorkeled the coastlines, urged the many breaks, and as a boat tour first mate. I’ve hiked the trails and savored the cafes, and I learned all of it as keiki, from playing in the dirt and sand with my cousins and siblings. I know the beach camping spots, hidden coves, the waterfalls worth the walk and all the beautiful reefs . Ive tried all  the best eateries, what and when to avoid and where the hazards are. My years as a firefighter, EMT and lifeguard taught me that, and it keeps my guests safe and relaxed.
